Our fleet

Originally built in Mondorf in 2001, today's MS RheinCargo spent many years sailing around Rostock on the Warnow and Baltic Sea as the harbor tour ship MS Ostseebad Warnemünde. In 2012, at the start of the scheduled operation of the Great Cologne Harbour Tours, we brought the gem back to its old home. Because she is operated by a separate company (M. Schmitz Personenschifffahrt GmbH & Co. KG), but is also marketed by us, we consider her to be our "business ship".
When you think of "cargo", do you think of logistics or freight rather than events? No wonder: the new name MS RheinCargo reflects the strong cooperation with the operator of the ports of Cologne and Neuss, RheinCargo. But somehow the name also fits, because after extensive conversions in the saloon and the installation of technical refinements such as its own WLAN, conference and event technology and atmospheric LED lighting, the RheinCargo has increasingly developed into an exclusive event and charter ship that offers the best conditions for many events, business and private celebrations.
